Content Building
When writing content for the web keep in mind that people tend not to read the text thoroughly, but they scan it instead. They browse through it, looking for the relevant information at the surface. Your reader wants to find information quickly so be short and right-to-the point. It is important that you provide factual information without marketing fluff.
Provide Relevant Information
The quality, credibility and relevance of the information you provide will determine the viewer’s interest in your site.
Headings and Subheadings
Use headings and subheadings to let the reader easily scan through the information and find what they are looking for. Bulleted and numbered list also improves scan ability; it makes the information obvious and easier to remember.
Highlight
Highlighting is a good policy if you want to bring something to your reader's attention and add to the scan ability of the text, but only highlight information-carrying words. Keep in mind that to much highlighting can hurt your credibility instead of helping.
